As a trained minister and spiritual director within the Unitarian Universalist tradition, I accompany seekers on their own spiritual journeys
My clients are mostly from the nonprofit sector, where I’ve spent the last 25 years of my own career. Spiritual Direction can be one tool to stay in the struggle. Keeping our souls alive makes us resilient.
Services
Individual spiritual direction
While we sometimes forget to look for what is ultimately valuable and important, God is never not seeking us. Spiritual Direction is a relationship of accountability, to help develop and maintain a regular practice of reflecting on and searching for the divine purpose of our lives. Having a partner for this journey can help.
The usual fee for this service is $150/hour, with an initial six-month commitment. The first consultation is free. Sliding scale is available.
Group spiritual direction
My experience in the nonprofit sector has made me aware that many people who work within it are acting on their faith, even if they work in a secular context. I will occasionally offer a small group (5-7 participants) with a one-year commitment, intended to serve those in nonprofit work, who are looking for companions to keep their souls alive.
The fee for this service is $50/month for each participant.
Why Spiritual Direction?
There are many practices which can help us find wholeness and peace in a weary world. Spiritual Direction, an ongoing conversation focused on the core spiritual commitments of the participant, is one of them. As someone who has long worked in an interfaith context, I am open to working with people of many faiths and with those who have no specific faith background, but curiosity. I most often use God language myself to describe the world of ultimate value. If you’re hungry to explore your own deeper meaning, let’s talk.
