About me
I’ve worked in nonprofit and for profit settings in a long and mixed career. For the last decade I served as Executive Director of a family foundation and a public foundation focused on energy conservation. Prior to that I was the founder and Executive Director of Faith in Place, which works with communities of all faiths to connect the teachings of their tradition to practices of care for the Earth. I’ve practiced tax and transactional law in private practice and at the Internal Revenue Service, and I’m an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister. My undergraduate degree is in history, from the University of Illinois, where I also obtained my J.D. My M.Div. is from Meadville Lombard Theological School and my D.Min. is from Chicago Theological Seminary. I’ve been very fortunate to do a lot of interesting things in my career, and in this phase I’m looking to support other people and organizations, using what I’ve learned along the way.
